My father recently had one of his legs amputated.  The doctors state that he will be using a wheelchair for the rest of his life.  He also has dialysis 3X/week.  Since none of us have been in this situation before, can you share any suggestions about purchasing the chair, getting around, and what it is like at the dialysis center since he'll no longer be walking to his chair?  Any tips are appreciated.

Thanks!
