Cats are very perceptive and can tell when you need them... like when you're feeling low or sick or whatever.. and they KNOW.. they can also tell a cat lover.. I think you will be fine Mina... soon you will wonder how you ever lived without your furry feline friend snuggled up with you purring and licking your hand in love...my thoughts (and celeste's too.. when she's awake ) are with you!!
Mina,This is exactly why I am a cat lover (oh and the fact that my cat cleans herself and does her business in the right spot ).I just know with Celeste that she can still surprise me with knowing just when I need her close and the encouragement of a little catty head butt or I need my space.... or if I'm feeling tired and flat after a session she will just sit quietly with me and not demand her dinner or bug me for anything.... you can't teach those kinds of things but like I said.. Cats *know* and they give such undemanding love and support it's amazing.I'd be lost without my furry friend...
My dog can do all that and more.
goofy, how about a name like Marley, or Jamiraqui? Anyhow, don't be nervous the kitty needs to know he/she is safe and it can sense how you are feeling. Good luck to you and you new family member!
