NxStage has been pretty good when it comes to our monthly supplies. However, this month I have had to call them three times for more cartridges (we use CAR 170-C). They keep telling me that their plant that normally handles our monthly supply order ran out of them and so they were being shipped separately from one of their other plants. The delivery date came and went, no cartridges. I called for the third time today and again I was told that their plant ran out of them and now they are being shipped from yet another plant and should arrive in a couple days via UPS Ground. Sure glad I called and followed up on this because because we are down to only 4 cartridges. I have never had trouble getting supplies from NxStage and their customer service and tech support have both been great. This sudden "shortage" of cartridges tho has me a little concerned. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Husband had ESRD with Type I Diabetes -Insulin Dependent.
I was his care-partner for home hemodialysis using Nxstage December 2013-July 2016.
He went back to doing in-center July 2016.
After more than 150 days of being hospitalized with complications from Diabetes, my beloved husband's heart stopped and he passed away 06-08-21. He was only 63.

One thing I liked about the BabyK was that I could manage my own inventory - I have a very liberal ordering allowance, and it was my decision how much of of a supply buffer to keep for problems (wasting cartridges, supply delays, civil insurrection, etc.).   The NxStage "send inventory" system makes it hard to do this, unless one plays games and undercounts inventory.

On-line inventory submission is convenient, though I wish their system would send out an automatic email with the list of what is going to be delivered.

I agree that under counting to get extras is the way to go. I try to always have at least a 2- 3 week buffer for times like this when deliveries are problematic.  Little by little you can add extras each month for emergencies.

 :rofl; This is almost too funny....last month I had a little trouble getting cartridges. This month, they arrived lightening fast. Maybe NxStage is trying to kiss and make-up with me. I accept!

My Fresenius deliveries arrive like clockwork.  I know months in advance the exact day they will arrive.

The NxStage delivery date is at best approximate, and I often get the supplies a few days after schedule (it seems harder in my area to get a morning delivery from NxStage than Fresenius).  Once, they can a day ahead of time unannounced, and my last delivery had to be rescheduled since they were running late and didn't bother to call me.  (Yes, some dialysis patients still work).
