On dialysis for 2-1/2 years and I don't hate it because it keeps me alive. Of course, I'd rather not be on it but these are the cards I'm dealt. NOw on PD for 1-1/2 years, going well. Usling Fresenius cycler. Located on teh Gulf coast.

I am a caregiver to my wonderful husband,  He is 4p and started PD October 2013. We have several living donors waiting to be tested for a transplant. Dialysis is a bridge to get us where we need to go.
He had a transplant in November 2019.

Welcome to the party, gemstone21!  :bump; Hope things continue going well for you on PD. With over a year now under your belt (if you use a pd belt, no pun intended) I bet you could offer suggestions or answer questions for PD newbies. Good luck and party hardy!

Husband had ESRD with Type I Diabetes -Insulin Dependent.
I was his care-partner for home hemodialysis using Nxstage December 2013-July 2016.
He went back to doing in-center July 2016.
After more than 150 days of being hospitalized with complications from Diabetes, my beloved husband's heart stopped and he passed away 06-08-21. He was only 63.
