Hello'
I'm new to IHD and wanted to introduce myself. I was diagnosed with chronic tubular nephritis about 15 years ago. I had an A/V fistula placed on my upper arm and started in center hemodialysis. I was on dialysis for 13 months, then received a living related donor (my sister, she's great!). That transplant has lasted almost 10 years, but now I'm being told I'll have to start dialysis again. My doctor has recommended home Hemo, so I'm trying to learn all I can about it.
There's more to me than my kidneys though. I've been married five years to a wonderful woman and have a three year old son. I live in a rural part northwest Florida, homer to some of the most beautiful beaches and rivers in the world. I work full time as an engineer, when not at work I enjoy fishing, cycling, kayaking. Watching movies and spending time with my family.
P Looking forward to getting to know the IHD family!

I am a caregiver to my wonderful husband, He is 4p and started PD October 2013. We have several living donors waiting to be tested for a transplant. Dialysis is a bridge to get us where we need to go.
He had a transplant in November 2019.
