As some may know, we got married in Dec. but opted to have the reception this month. Its been insane getting ready for everything!!!
And most of this party, I owe a huge thank you to our Alohabeth and Paris! They are such amazing people. <3

It was beautiful. im so glad we did do it the way we did too, because i was so wore out from the wedding, i wouldnt have had any fun at the party, and by the end of this party, whooo, was i beat! I slept for a week!!!

and now for pictures!

in case you cant read it, the place settings said :

Once upon a time, not that long ago,
met a strange little girl, and a strange little beau.

They began to speak, nearly every day,
and grew to know each other in every way.

They had so much in common with one another,
its almost as if they were made for each other

Enjoying same pastimes, and laughter galore,
They knew that they loved each other, for rich or for poor.

Time had come for them start a new life.
It was time to be family- child, husband and wife.

So, Off to the courhouse one December they went,
To make it official for this lady and gent.

Now we are here to celebrate this groom and his bride,
Mr. and Mrs. Dubson are announced here, with pride.

Those two adorable candy theives are my son and my neice. who carried pictures of our deceased mother and grandfather during introductions.
We had a special moment for them, we played "Somewhere Out There" while I placed them in their "seats"

We had a delicious candy buffet. With a chocolate fountain (it was going to be red colored white chocolate, but since everyone tends to prefer milk chocolate, we decided to go with it instead!)
We had a dinner buffet, my brother made sandwhich platters, meats, cheeses, veggies, dips, chips, etc. and we had cheese balls on the tables as centerpeices, the balls were in skull head cups. lol
we had dancing and karoke too. and of course the garter toss (done to the teenage mutant ninja turtles theme song - my husband loves the turtles! so i surprised him with that) and the bouquet toss done to the beastie boys "girls"
Our first dance was from Rogers and Hammerstiens Cinderella "Do I love you because your beautiful?"
I danced with my father to "I loved her first" and with my son to "You are the sunshine of my life" He danced with his mother to celine dion "because you lvoed me" and his grandma to " Its your song"
My wifey made our cake, it turned out perfect. and we wanted to cut it during Weird Al's "eat it" but the dj ddnt have it. I cant recall what song we had.... it was an oldie... but i for the life of me cant remember the name of it.

Ill have more pics soon

It truly was the most amazing day. It wore me right out though, took about 2 weeks to recover from it lol

a few interesting tid-bits for you all to giggle at:

My son, the dork, was break dancing, wish id gotten video, it was great.

my husband begged me not to shove cake in his face , turned around and shoved some right up my nose. Someone snapped a pic of my reaction while cleaning myself off... see below.

My unofficial bridesmaid, bobby (best friend, since childhood, male, my frist 'boyfriend' who has since 'come out' of the closet) said something about being my first, and there were audible gasps in the crowd- i think they took it the wrong way LOL

while we were getting ready for the party, hair curlers plugged in, half dressed, we decide this is a good time for a smoke break... LOCK OURSELVES OUT!!!! so we are frantically trying to find the priests house or someone with a key... on a saturday... priest is out of town... luckily the local barber has a key. *note to self, i need to write HIM a thank you letter!! Nothing like running around town half dressed, half make up, hair wild, sweating and freaking out because im running out of time!

I made a dinner plate TWICE and both times it was taken while i was doing bride crap - didnt even get to eat my dads delicious dialysed tater salad :( he dialysed 10 lbs of potatoes just for me, and i didnt even get a bite *pouts*

i didnt wear shoes at all until the dancing was well underway, i was in house slippers from the moment we walked out. I had heels, but no. and glad i didnt wear them too. my feet were killing me. I endd up putting my dirty sneakers on midway thru it all.

his family is hilarious, and his uncle and cousin were his unofficial groomsmen, they gave great speeches!

We had pics of our deceased relatives (a pic of my mom, his gpa) carried in by my son and neice, and then i had a special moment where they played "Some where out there" and i 'sat' them at our table.

we finally got our "professional" pics back..... im very glad i didnt have to pay for them, most were very blurry. my maid of honor (i call her my wifey) had a family memeber take pics for us, and put them on a cd, so it wouldnt cost us anything. very sweeet of her. I think i may ask pj to dress up again, just so we can get some less blurry shots.
shes also the one who made that amazing cake. it was green on the inside.

I cant recall if ive said all of this before so sorry if im repeating, but our music choices were great, unfortunately some of them we couldnt get, since our dj was my friend bobby, and he didnt charge us for the service as a wedding gift, he couldnt afford some of our song choices.
unofficial bridal party entrance: "We are family"
our entrance : "You're my best friend" Queen
We wanted to have Weird Al "eat it" for our cake song, but he couldnt find it, so we went with an oldie, i cant seem to remember what its called though...
He had the James Bond theme for the garter removal, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme for the throw (it was a surprise for him, since he loves the turtles, i wanted to surprise him)
Our first dance Do I love you Rogers and Hammerstien Cinderella
My dad and I danced to I loved her first. The day before we got married, my father had said something about he better take care of me because im his little girl and he had me first. I told him id always be his little girl. :)
Our last dance was Hailstorm "heres to us"
we had karoke too, and someone pranked us by having us sing Aqua's Barbie Girl PJ NAILED IT, i on the other hand, no. just no. I did manage to sing "The Bad Touch" by the Bloodhound gang, heh against my better judgement, but its my karoke song. glad grandma had already left at that point LOL
my brother entertained us karoke "Im sailing away..." while jiggling his neck meat whilest singing so it sounded hilarous.
My husband and son had a duet (cue the "awwwws" ) well, my husband sang while son just made interesting noises into the mic....

I kept getting tongue tied while trying to speak. i dont do public speaking well, and im not fond of being the center of attention- i get that from my dad who did not want to dance or walk in but did anyway lol

there were a few things i wanted to do, but ran out of time to do, and energy. but it still turned out beautifully. I surprisingly didnt cry as much as i anticipated. in fact, i barely cried at all that day. i think i was afraid my eyes would glue shut due to all of the darn makeup my wifey slapped on my poor face. and fake eyelashes, btw, are the devil.
I HAD ordered a beautiful black satin jacket with a looong train to go with my dress, but it was on backorder and no one told me until I finally contacted the place asking why its not here yet (the day it was to arrive) they said it wouldnt be shipped til next week. aftr the wedding party. The same company id bought my dress off of, who sent it the day after my actual wedding.... i wasnt pleased with this. I dont believe ill do business with them again.

It really was a great day. But im sure glad i only have to do it once!!!!

and just imagine had we had alcohol .... which we didnt.
