I always tell them what to take off and when to lower and raise the dry weight and I always discuss it with the nurses when I come into the unit.  I can mulitply by two and com up with the kilos I need off all by myself.  I agree with RicardMel, with the neph and his I and your statements.  I would tell him politely to eat a can of worms!

If your example of a 5.5 litre gain is what you are actually gaining then it is way too much and can drop your blood pressure as it is putting strain on your heart. I am going through this at the moment. Solid waste does affect your weight but it depends what and how much you are eating. What has your pre and post BP been? What UF rates have you been running at?
