Viral bronchitis

Because of all that we have been going through, I haven't really shared what is going on with me right now.  For more than 3 weeks, I have had this absolutely horrible cough.  I had an X-ray which ruled out pneumonia, but they thought it could be bronchitis.  Twice I have had to go to Emergency and be nebulized, each time more than once.
The last time I went to Emergency was Sunday morning at 2.00 a.m.  I just had not been able to sleep the entire night, and it wasn't because of the coughing.  It was the noise in my chest!  I had to be nebulized twice, and was given an injection, and antibiotics.  I am doing much better now.  The coughing is much less frequent and not quite so horrible in sound (but still a little horrible).
One of the nurses told me that the nephrologist said that it is viral (I HATE THAT WORD!!).
My big problem is that the doctor in the ER told me that I was not to use a fan or A/C!!! My nights are now very restless.  I sleep in one room, then wake up, finding it too warm.  I then go to another and sleep for a while.  and so on and so on....
But I am doing much better.

Thanks so much for your caring thoughts and prayers.  I am doing much better.  I think I am getting a bit accustomed to the lack of a fan. [I do cheat a bit.  I can't stop my staffroom from being air-conditioned, can I?]  My cough is definitely better, though not all gone.

I was doing better, and feeling great about it.  All of a sudden I turn hoarse and the coughing regains strength.  They check my lungs each dialysis session and say that the wheezing is almost gone.  But when they hear my cough!!!!
The nephrologist has scheduled me for a battery of tests, which I will probably have on Monday and Tuesday.
Please continue to have me in your thoughts and prayers.  I would love to get rid of all of this.

Added to my condition, my jeep has been going through some problems with overheating.  Now  they say that something is wrong with my engine head and I have to have that fixed. 
Some days ago my grandson told me "Grandma, the jeep need fixing, just like you?"

Bajanne,  I am so sorry to hear you are still not feeling well, i thought you'd be better by now, thank you for updating us.  You better believe you will be in my thoughts and prayers.  Please let us know what the result of the tests are once you get them and what they plan on doing for you to get you better.  I am sure there may be "lurkers" here that might be going through the same problem but just havent came forward and posted about them.  I wish you Godspeed my friend, I love you bunches and i need you to get better so when i take my cruise to Barbados you can give me a personal tour of that beautiful island.  

As for your jeep, i hope you get whatever problems wrong with it resolved so you can have dependable transportation to and from dialysis, i dont want ANY excuses for you not to go young lady    Get Well Soon my friend

Jeep engines are known to get carboned up in the intake manifold. Don't worry to much it's normal and it's not too expensive if thats what it is.

Bajanne, update please. How are you feeling?

I am not doing too badly, but the cough is still there.  I didn't get the tests today.  I am embarrassed to say why, but here goes - I have misplaced my wallet with my insurance card.  No money was in it, but all my important cards!  I will have to go to the insurance company and get a letter so those tests wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg.
