Hello my name is Jen. I live in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I have not started dialysis yet but have been told I will need to start soon. I just had fistula surgery but plan to try to do PD. I am hoping to learn a lot from the other members to try to help myself prepare for what is to come.

Hi Jan. Welcome to IHD. I have been on PD since September 27 of this year. Pleade feel free to ask away. I got both a a fistula and a PD catheter installed at the same time. That saved me from being put to sleep twice. Wish you the best with your transition to D.

:waving;  Hey, Jen, welcome to IHD! My mom is from MI and still talks about growing up on a farm just outside of Kalamazoo. I'm also still pre-d and haven't had a fistula or PD catheter placed yet.  There are a lot of members that have been or are right where you are now. I am sure they will be happy to share their experiences with you and answer any questions you have.

Come back and tell us a little more about yourself.

:welcomesign;  redJen! I don't do PD, I do home Hemo. Simply because I didn't want another tube! Best of luck to you. There are plenty of people on here that do PD. Any and all questions are welcome!
