Before I start introducing myself I wanted to say thank you to all who have posted here and those who support the site. I learned so much from the board.

I have been a long time lurker here since DH was diagnosed with ESRD in 2011. We are very fortunate to find a donor who is the kindest and most selfless person I know. DH got the transplant on Nov. 15th 2011. The recovery was a little bit bumpy initially but for the past year and half it's been uneventful until last week which I will talk about in another post later.

I'm very grateful for this forum. I like to do research on the internet while DH likes to get all his information from the doctor. That is why I'm the one joining the board not him. Not that I don't trust his doctor, on the contrary, we have great trust in him and plan to stay with him for the rest of his career. I like to read and be prepared with questions before we see the doctor.

Cheers!

July

Welcome, July!    :welcomesign;
Next time we have a small meet up maybe you'd like to join us! We had one a couple of years ago in the Chicago area and had many people from neighboring states as well!

I am a caregiver to my wonderful husband,  He is 4p and started PD October 2013. We have several living donors waiting to be tested for a transplant. Dialysis is a bridge to get us where we need to go.
He had a transplant in November 2019.
