I came home to find mine waiting for me today!  Huzzah!  It was a tad torn in one corner (I suspect plane-mice or naughty postal workers ... or maybe customs ...) but everything inside is safe and now patiently waiting for Christmas Day.  Tonight I shall get Blokey to help me make the Lego decoration ... *squee* ...

Now I'm just left wondering as to whether I'm allowed to open the envelope too or if that has to wait till Christmas Day.

Also, I'm reminded that my package CAN be opened when it arrives because everything that needs to be wrapped is wrapped, and there's a couple of other bits which can be seen before the official opening day!  (That's for the person who gets a parcel from merry olde England.)

It's ok Jean, you can wait until Christmas. The idea is that you don't identify yourself until that day, either in a card or on here.  :2thumbsup;

I received a package. DH collected the mail and said not to turn it over! Whoop. The front indicates that it came from outside the country. I can hardly wait. NOW I can start counting the days until Christmas!!! Hee hee hee.

I don't think it really matters, although you're not supposed to and I certainly wouldn't identify myself to my recipient on here in the hope someone else was looking after it for them.  I did identify myself on/in the parcel, but then where I live in itself pretty much gives it away! Also, the fact that I'll always be sending overseas means that I have to add more detail to anything I send due to customs; the prohibited items list for other countries is HUGE!  I've always known who sent mine before the day because either they've identified themselves in/on the parcel or it's been obvious.  It doesn't take any of the suspense away for me because it's the thoughtful/wacky/fun/lovely gifts which are the surprise.

I did not identify my stuff either, but I figure the two people I sent to for Victor and I would know who it was from by the address. LOL

The tree is usually the last thing to get put up in my house! I've got my front door (outside) done, the kitchen and bathroom done. A few more things to put out before the tree goes up!   :christmastree;

We have Natashia... She's a Respite Care Worker from the Carers Assoc. who comes for three hours on Thursdays to look after Mum and let me get out to do shopping, go to the doctor, collect prescriptions, etc...

Well last Thursday, not only did she wash and style Mum's hair, do her D, arrange a weeks supply of D supplies in the order I need to access them, and get Mum a sandwich and a cup of tea... But I came home from the doctor's to find the Christmas Wreath on the front door, the Window Ornaments in situ., and lighting, AND the Christmas Tree up and decorated in the Living Room!!!... She just said 'I thought while I was here, I'd save you the trouble of doing it!'... How's that for service!.... Bliss!....

Thanks Tash... You're one in a million!....
