Hard but fair.  There are plenty of others waiting who are compliant.  Howevet, it does seem a shame since it is probably just part of being a teen.

A very distressing situation. As Amanda said, what do you do with a troubled/troublesome teen in a situation like this?

The thing is with a heart, if you are not compliant with the meds., there is mo stop-gap as there is with dialysis.  The other thing is, that ther is another worthy case lso sitting in a hospital waiting for a hear transplant.  It's a tough situation, but just serves to illustrate the fact that there are mot enough organs to go around.

i agree with you guys BUT i think some of the stuff that the tx center considers non-compliant is complete bull crap. I am considered non compliant, if i have to get off the machine early because they couldnt stop my cramping and i suffered through it as long as i could
, and i was listed inactive for changing my days around so i could go to the ihd meetup in vegas last year, because i wasnt following my prescribed treatment time (even though I technically did not miss a treatment, and just went on a different day than usual)
