Today my younger sister flew in from Wisconsin to surprise my older sister for her 60th birthday.
Tomorrow we are going to wander around the jewelry district in Los Angeles.

Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.

Tomorrow we are heading off for a long weekend near Gloucester (Hope the weather improves its a bit wet and windy today!) Have rented a converted barn and having a family get together for my birthday (39 again!!!!) and my grand daughter Leila's 3rd birthday. They will be chocolate cake, balloons, dogs, pressies and hopefully, champagne! A time to celebrate life, love and family  :beer1;
PS> I have bought leila a trunkie in the shape of a tiger it's fabulous!!!!! I want one too  ;D

Back on HD (not easy to do that third time around)

ooooh. Such nice plans.

We will hop in the car early Saturday for a short (15 hour) jaunt to Massachusetts where we will visit with the granddaughters (in my pic) and their little brother.  :2thumbsup;

It has been since April when I took that picture since I have held those lovelies. Looking forward to it!

What's a trunkie?

It's one of those kid's suitcases they can sit on, ride on or pullalong in the shape and colour of a tiger fabulous!!! (Was on Dragons Den!!!)

We're celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary.  We stayed at an historic hotel in a small town a few hours from home, then continued North to stay with friends.  I am fighting off an infection, but feeling all right so far!  Will do yoga able everyone sleeps.

Galvo ... the gee gees were awful yesterday (my horse either ran backwards, got left in stalls, got bumped or just found ground too soft)

We had an Indian meal after the footie yesterday. I got slightly squiffy on just two small glasses of wine and a bottle of Smirnoff Ice. I'm such a cheap date.  Tomorrow evening (technically not the weekend, but hey-ho) we're off to see Bill Bailey (British comedian) after indulging in a Pizza Hut meal.  I'll have had a long day at work so fully expect to fall asleep at some point during the evening.

You have just reminded me of when my ex-husband took me to see the ballet Swan Lake after work one night (trying to improve my culture or education or something) it was very dark in the theatre, and warm and soothing music and I fell asleep. He grumbled all the way home about the cost of the tickets and my lack of culture!!!!!  8)

This weekend I am going to the Montrose Room in Chicago to see Vince Ingala! The Smooth Jazz station that I listen to all the time gave me the tickets! We are thinking about getting a hotel room and just spending the night there! Can't wait!!

I had my flu jab (for free, thanks Blokey's transplant!) this morning and this afternoon we're headed to the cinema to see Jackass.  We don't normally like Jackass but this Grandpa one looks quite funny. 

Tomorrow we're driving down to my Mumsy's for dinner and Blokey's going to leave me there for a couple of nights as I have the next week off work (thanks, British education system!) It's a tad worrying because the media is spouting some nonsense about the worst storm to hit the UK (on Sunday night) since October 1987 (which was bad, by our standards) and if anything happens to my house I'm not sure Blokey will know what to do!  However, Mumsy will be panicky so at least I can keep an eye on her.  It's already really windy so I'm making the most of it and have the washing hanging on the line.

Ah! not quite lazy, but still nice. Puttering around the house, doing laundry, getting meals ready fro next week. It feels lazy because I'm not stressed to watch 17 little kiddoes (12 of whom are only or not quite three years old!). Going to town in a bit to buy pumpkins for our big pumpkin auction. Then more puttering.  :2thumbsup;

Hell it's going to be some storm tonight already the wind has picked up and the rain on and off as the eye of the storm heads straight for East Anglia
Yes we did remember to put clocks back and all stocked up with food, drink, torches and candles etc just in case.
But I shall enjoy watching it from indoors   :wine; :ukflag; :ukflag;

I was living in the UK during the "Great Storm of 1987."  Couldn't get to work for days because of all of the fallen trees on the tracks!  Anyone remember Michael Fish's infamous BBC weather prediction?  LOL!  I see he's still around!

Celebrating my 60th birthday in Paris...so lucky and grateful for so much.  My husband admitted to me this morning that there have been times he thought I would'nt see 50.  Life is so unpredictable.

Uldall-Cook catheter inserted May 2008
Haemo-dialysis, self care unit June 2008
(2 1/2 hours X 5 weekly)
Self-cannulated, 15 gauge blunts, buttonholes.
Living donor transplant (sister-in law Kathy) Feb. 2009
First failed kidney transplant removed Apr.  2009
Second trx doing great so far...all lab values in normal ranges
