I bought him at at an auction of promises I attended. Going to make him wear a little frilly white waitress apron for H & S reasons!!!!!
Hello Sugar,
I have not read or heard anything about "auctions of promises" ? How do these auctions come about and how do they "work"?
These "auctions of promises" are surely not for Charity ... or are they ... ?
... I giggled when I read that the waiter serving at your hen's party is going to wear a "frilly-white-waitress-apron for "Health-and-Savety-reasons"  ... ;D
... And I send you all my best wishes for a great day ... and there is no doubt that you are going to enjoy yourself   :laugh: ... and could I look forward to see some pictures?
Good luck wishes from Kristina. :waving;

Yes it was for charity at our local pub. Various people offer an item or a service, like gardening, or cooking, or a cake etc and lo and behold there was a naked waiter offering his services so I bid for him, not expecting to win and I did!!!! They raised £350 for charity in total.
You might get a pic or two  :2thumbsup;

Well I expect a glass or two of champagne will alleviate any embarrassment!!!  :rofl;
I've got some wonderful serviettes entitled What happens at this party stays at this party
I am not sure what other things my bridesmaid has lined up but there was talk of jelly wrestling!!!! Think they are just trying to scare me and my ankle definitely isn't up to any form of wrestling!!

Well, my hen party certainly went with a swing. Had great fun.
My bridesmaid had everybody in pink feather boas (feathers everywhere!!!) and the naked waiter and waitress were excellent (they did wear black aprons!!!) serving food on trays and keeping everyone topped up with champagne and coffee! I haven't laughed so much in a long while  :clap;
On the downside it did rain!!! but the smokers huddled outside under my big yellow Tours de France umbrella, and then at the very end my foot decidde to suddenly bleed profusely from the fistula incision... small amount of panic on my behalf but fortunately Julie, one of my guests was a trained first aider so found some gauze from my dialysis room and put pressure on it for 15 minutes and it stopped. Then they cleaned it up and put a pad over it and it was fine. Talk about a dramatic ending!!!
UNtil that point, I had forgotten about being a dialysis patient!
But I did have such good fun  :bandance; :bandance; :bandance;

The Fourth of July falls on Saturday this weekend, so we will be grilling and eating traditional American foods like hot dogs and hamburgers.  Notice I said "traditional", not "nutritious".   :P  Our favorite bakery is making cherry pies with Michigan cherries, so we'll be having one of those, too.  Yumtastic!!

This weekend, as well as watching Wimbledon final, will finish sewing up the bunting for the wedding...we have over 100 metres of it (all hand made) looks very vintage style...
It looks fabulous and I am very proud of it ... even Drew has been sewing the flags onto the tapes by machine (he's far quicker at it than I am )

Here's the bunting (400 odd flags were made at my Bunting parties) and then Drew and I have been sewing them up on an ancient sewing machine into 10m lengths all ready
to be hung around the Marquee on our special day!

Good! Our wedding is vintage themed, like a proper old fashioned wedding but with some modern touches!
We have handmade the bunting from remnants and scraps of material, I have made the place names and table plans from recycled card and buttons...
We are aiming for 50/60's style dress code. Lots of rockabilly/swing dresses and hats for the ladies, sharp suits. floral shirts and hats for the men  and some offbeat
interpretations too!!! We are having ceremony in the rose garden (weather willing) then a Vintage Afternoon Tea with all that special china and cake stands etc...
In the evening, we have a big marquee, with the bunting and balloons, a DJ with predominantly 60's music, some 70/80's too for dancing! and a street entertainer who does juggling
and escapology as well as waitress served canapes and ice cream served from a vintage ice cream bicycle!
I can't wait to see my cake ... it's a non-traditional naked sandcastle cake (Not being able to eat fruit cake and find icing too sweet)
Will post a pic afterwards!!!
I am so excited ... only 20 days to go  :bandance;  :bandance;  :bandance;

Wish you the best! But if it rains, don't worry...I was told that it meant good luck would come your way if it rains on your wedding day. But something tells me that even if it were to rain cats and dogs, nothing is going to get in your way of wedded bliss! It's what you make of it. Congratulations!  :beer1;
