Hi:

Recently had a lapband put on to help me reduce weight and I'm having trouble swallowing all the fun medication that I'm taking.

I've swung over to a liquid binder and I crush my Sensipar medication. What I'm now looking for is a chewable vitamin suitable for dialysis patients (especially low in potassium).

Anyone using something like that?

Thanks.

Make that low in vitamin A, too.  And phosphorous.

Good luck. That sounds tricky to find.

Sometimes you can get suspensions that are meant for children.  I'd talk to your pharmacist

I did a bit of a search, and found a liquid multivitamin for renal patients called Nephronex, but I really couldn't find any other information on it about what it actually was.  All I really found were places to buy it online

There's also a softgel.  I'm not sure if that would help you or not.  it's called Nephrocaps http://chinese-school.netfirms.com/reviews/nephrocaps.html

I'd still check with your pharmacist.  They generally know what's out there when it comes to medications.
