Does anyone know if anyone would take the plastic bags that the manual bags come in for recycling? I'm talking about the Plastic bags you tear down to get to the actual manual bag. I'm not talking about the manual bags themselves as I know they won't take them but the plastic bags the manual bags come in. I have taken them to targets recycling center but I m not really sure they take them as tthey are not Like grocery store bags but are substantial plastic.

I think I read on here somewhere that one of us tried to recycle the bags and was told no. But it's worth checking again, what they will and won't take changes often. And we do generate a pile of trash doing PD.

I managaed to read on the outside of the cardboard box after doing PD for 18 months that the outside plastic bag was recycleable. It's made an enormous difference to my rubbish bin capacity. Meanwhile, with the boxes AND the plastic bags, my recycle bin is full to overflowing.
I'm in Australia, and we have major recycling programs here. Not sure about other places.

Are you with Baxter, HenryP? I might ask my guy, who is extremely helpful.

I do recycle all the cardboard boxes, but have been throwing everything else in the trash.

Here in Boston, they won't take the plastic, but will accept the folded boxes. It really depends on where you live - all recycle programs are different. Ask your city or town.

I made the boxes flat and tied the pile with twine. Recycling took that. But I could not recycle any of the plastic. Every town in the US has different rules on recycling. Maybe you'll get lucky.
