My name is Myriah, I am a 24 yr old dialysis patient currently waiting for my transplant. I am happily married with a beautiful 4 yr old. I've had kidney failure since I was 17 and have experienced the wonderful world of dialysis now for 3 1/2 yrs.  I live in the mountains of Colorado and its my retreat from hell.  My husband is going to be my donor but right now we have to wait due to my antibodies being too high for transplant. I have had 3 strokes and a heart attack. I have my good days and i have my bad. I have gotten my gallbladder out and now they want my pt hormone out. I am thankful for my family and the support through pd and now hemo... I just can't wait for this to be over.. That's my story hope you enjoy

Welcome Myriah.  I hope your husband realizes how special he is. What an awesome gift to offer.  Hope you get those "anti-buggies" under control.  It is so sad to see so many young people suffering this stuff.  You have come to the right place.  Lots of good folk here!

Again welcome & God Bless,

Welcome to our community, Myriah  You have made a good decision to join this forum.  I know I did!  Here you will find information and support when you need it.  This is a place that allows you to rage, rave, or just vent.  You will soon understand that you are now part of a wonderful international caring and sharing family  :grouphug; .  Hope everything goes well with your husband's intention to donate to you.  My daughter is about to be tested.  I resisted a transplant before, but am a bit more inclined now.     Please keep on reading and keep on posting.  We need to know how you are doing.  Not nosey, just family.
Looking forward to hearing more from you.
