Going through life tied to a chair!

I'm at a DaVita.  We got a bag (like the $1 at the grocery store) with their logo on it.

Frank got a head scratcher that looks exactly like a wire whisk. He was pissed that they woke him up to give it to him so he left it there.

Our PD clinic had a rather delicious morning tea, and some games (PD related).  It's good to catch up with the people you met last year and meet newbies.

Davita gave us a junky bag that isn't even big enough to carry our sharps container in. We gave them tens of thousands of dollars. :)

My Fresenius clinic gave us a nice soft blanket with Fresenius logo on it and our Nephrologist office gave us a collapsible insulated lunch-type bag.

I do home PD.

i actually thought the fresenius blanked was the best thing in the last 6 years. just wish it didn't have their logo on it. actually the best gift that has ever happened at my center was the state coming in last month, spending 4 days going over everything with a fine tooth comb and causing big changes. changes that i've been saying were needed for a long long time! i love it! i don't feel sorry for them at all!

At my fresenius clinic we got the little blue fleece blanket with white reindeer on it and the fresenius logo in one corner.  I like it.

The home program gave bags with the hospital logo and the words Home Dialysis Program.  They sounded pretty proud of them.  I think it's the first year they had their own bags versus the general hospital bags.

The dietitian also had a tray of homemade goodies that were NOT diet approved that she was passing out.

Did anyone give their center anything?  I made up a goodie box (wrapped a dialysate box in Christmas wrapping paper) with pints of maple syrup, oranges, quick bread, and cookies for my doctor and nurses.  They've been great this past year, though I need to keep pressuring them about extended treatment (stupid hospital board!).

Since then, I've tried PD three times unsuccessfully, done In-Center hemo, NxStage short daily, Nocturnal NxStage, and had two transplants.  Currently doing NxStage short daily while waiting for a third transplant.

Married Sept. 2011 to my wonderful husband, James, who jumped into NxStage training only 51 days after our wedding!

I'm on Nocturnal so I have 2 staff on Sun and Tue, and 2 different staff on Thursday.

I got each of them a Christmas card with a $10 gift card to Pizza Hut.  They seemed appreciative.

The best gift I ever got was a back scratchier with no logo on it.  They probably got it at the dollar store but I liked it and still use it.

I don't want a dialysis logo on anything I have at home.  A constant reminder of my condition.

I didn't think I would get a present since I am on Home Hemo but the nurse had to come to my house and she brought me a blanket with the Fresenius logo on it. We love it! I have so many throw blankets that nobody will ever get cold at my house!   :clap;

Im at Fressenius and we got a blanket with their logo and a neck pillow.  The staff had dinner catered for us for Thanksgiving and Christmas anf gave us our plates as we were leaving.  One tech has a sister that teaches headstart and their students made everybody an ornament.
