Admin for IHateDialysis 2008 - 2014, retired.
Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017
Found a swap living donor using social media, friends, family.
New kidney in a paired donation swap July 26, 2017.

I was lucky enough that I'm not in that number anymore. It makes me sad to think of all those people waiting. I want more people to agree to be donors.

I wish they would allow compensation for kidneys with a CAP of $5000 or so. IF it were regulated it could work and bring 90,000+ people on the list almost down to ZERO!

With 310 million in this nation it's inexcusable that more isn't being done!

I would agree with you there should be more donors and more would receive a transplant.....,for some reason people have stopped talking about donors....
