DH is coming up to his first anniversary as a home hemo patient.  Things have gone generally well but it's not easy, as many of you know.  I was really feeling for despondent since hubby's last clinic - just a lot of things that he does or doesn't do that I absolutely did not sign up for when agreeing to partner for home hemo.  But enough of the pity party.

A very good book that I have been reading, or at least it is helping me is The Caregiving Wife's Handbook:  Caring for your Seriously Ill Husband by Diana Denholm.  Written by a woman who was caregiver for her husband who, among many other things, was a dialysis patient, in clinic.

Anyway, it may not be to everyone's taste but I am finding it amazingly helpful in just taking a step back and developing some strategies for coping with things that have been difficult.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll check it out.
It can be found in the usual online places: amazon, barnes and noble and there's a website for the book: http://www.caregivingwife.com/
