Good news from the hospital...

One of the dialysis phoned me this morning... It's looking like Mum will be admitted to hospital on Monday to have a new TenchKoff fitted... One step nearer to going back on Peretonial Dialysis...

They haven't mentioned it to Mum yet in case there's a change of plan, but they wanted to alert me to the probability... Fingers crossed!.....

Love to all....

Nothing yet, Looney, thanks for asking....

Mum has D this morning, so they may mention it then....

I've certainly said nothing... Don't want to raise false hopes!...

Love to all...

Update....

Mum came home from D a few minutes ago... The taxi driver said 'See you on Tues. afternoon, Elsie'... I said, 'Mum dialysis on Monday morning'... He told me it had been changed...

I just phoned the unit to be told, 'Ah yes, that's because of her TenchKoff op'... I said 'Erm, what TenchKoff op???, nobody has alerted us that it's happening... Got a mention of the possibility from one dialysis nurse earlier in the week, but nothing since, and certainly nothing concrete!'...

Anyway, there was a breakdown of communication... Somebody should have phoned me yesterday... Instead of first shift on Monday, Mum's to go to D on the third shift on Tuesday... Then they're admitting her to replace her TenchKoff on Wednesday...

So that's how it stands as of now... We shall see if it happens!....

Thanks everyone!...

Love to all...

:yahoo;  Wonderful news, Darth!  Moving forward, and the light at the end of the tunnel continues to shine! You both deserve a break after all you've been through lately.
