Thanks everyone,
          The last round of chemo was really hard on Christopher. He was vomiting blood and was in hospital for 9 days. It really scared him alot and he didn't really understand what was happening. As he was getting on the bus this morning he looked at me and said " no more chemo, no more vomiting blood". and I told him he did real good and should be proud of himself. And with that he gave me a huge smile and got on his bus. He seems to have matured, I mean he is still autistic and quiet, but sometimes he can seem so "normal". I came inside after he left and cried my eyes out.  These last few months have been awful. Everyone is very stressed and I am surprised my marriage is still somewhat together. Well sort of. AHH we all need a holiday. Maybe one day we will come to the states to a IHD meeting. Update next week. Liz

Especially after all you have been through. I am so glad Christopher is doing well.

I believe the Australian members are planning a Aussie get together. I don't know what part of the country your from but maybe you all can link up.

Well everyone, great news. Christopher doesn't need any more chemo or surgery at the moment. We saw the oncologist and she said his node was still large but the cells in it were dead. We need to take him for another ct scan in 3 months time to see if it has shrunk any more, and if it hasn't we may need to see a surgeon, but the oncologist said not to worry about him anymore as he is cancer free   His hair is starting to grow back now. Life is somewhat normal again. Tomorrow I start training for nocturnal, so that is my next stressball. Thanks everyone for all your prayers as they have been answered. And a big thankyou to my sister Maria, who was always there ready to listen to me and talk when I  needed it all the most.  Congratulations Grandma. Well guys. Here I am again. We have had alot going on here the last few weeks. After I posted that everything was o.k. well it wasn't. We got a call from Christophers oncologist and she said we need to see the surgeon. Well our happiness only lasted about 2 weeks and it was decided Christopher needed major surgery to remove his lymph nodes down in his groin area. Christopher wasn't told until 2 days before the surgery as he gets very stressed about it all. So 3 weeks ago he went in and had everything he needed to get out, taken out. He was on morphine for 3 days so high as a kite, and didn't really understand what was going on. Well he did remarkably well. He got up and walked when he was told to and really made us so proud. For an autistic person he was amazing. Stephen stayed 2 nights and I stayed the others. Of course as this was going on with Christopher I have been learning nocturnal and when he was in hospital I did my overnight stays. I came home with the machine and he came home to recover. He is doing really well and will be back at school on Monday. Nocturnal is going well also. Things are going quite well. The good news is he is DEFINITELY over the worst and been told the tumours they just removed were benign, so no more chemo..... Finally the nightmare is over. I got the oncologist registrar to name my machine for me and for some reason he named it ' Murphy Brown', so now I have Murphy sleeping with me most nights. Thankyou everyone for all your thoughts and prayers and now will be able to catch up with everyone and read what has been happening. Bout to get on so will read up tomorrow. Thanks all. Liz

Babi, that is mixed news! I'm glad it all turned out well though!  I'm glad they kept Chris on morphine, I'm sure that kept his stress levels down, poor guy!! The aspect of another surgery, ugh, that's enough for anyone to just think of running away!! I'm glad it's REALLY better now!!
