Hello all,

As you can probably guess, another member and I have a patient-tech relationship, not to mention a love for baseball.  He told me about this site and it is a great idea thatwill only grow in size as our world gets smaller.  Thanks Epoman for the courage to run this site.   I am a tech with 7 years on my belt, with a 9 year break to work closer to home, and a 1 year break to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom--an experience I will not forget.  My wife and I moved to Florida as soon as I got home, and I just took a break for awhile.  I'm going back to school to become a nurse--because I really do care about patient care, and hopefully I can make a real difference.  I hope that tth21 will attest to the fact I really do care about the patient first and everything else last.  And I like to have a little fun--especially with folks who come to dialysis and have no real other socialization opportunities.  And believe me, they give it right back to me!  I look forward to meeting y'all and giving my 2 cents worth.  Thanks for having me as part of the crew.

:welcomesign; I am from the Florida Panhandle also. Panama City Beach to be exact. I am treated at the Panama City Dialysis Center; is that where you work? Or do you not work at a center yet bc you are still learning?

Welcome to our site NavarreTech.  I'm not sure who the other member is...hmmmm likes baseball?  I'll have to think on that one.

I'm so glad you joined our site.  Like Sluff said, thank you for serving our country.  Feel free to post your thoughts on the war in the "Off Topic Section."  http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?board=5.0

I'm glad to have someone who cares about people serve on our dialysis front also.

A big welcome to our community!  So glad that you cared enough to join us.  This is the place for anyone with any connection whatsoever to this renal challenge that we face.  We are particularly pleased when those who have the care of dialysis patients take the time out to join us and see what we are saying and what we are facing.
There is loads for you to read here.  But don't just read, answer some questions, ask some of your own.  You can even give us your take on the different kinds of dialysis patients in the Employee section!
Looking forward to hearing from you, and  :welcomesign; again!

This is for Shannon in PCB.  I work in Navarre, 70 miles west of PCB.

I have alot of experience--7 years.  I blew the test away when I took it to work here.  Hopefully I will take the BONET exam soon.

Given that, you can always learn--and I learn alot from my patients.

Good luck in PCB.
