We all know how many support groups are out there in the wonderful world wide web... Well here is another to add to your list in the social networking world of Facebook. This does not mean move away from the IHD Forum as it is a wealth of information in itself. This is just another option for carepartners, dialyzors or anyone who needs support in the world of dialysis.

Have you been told that your kidneys are failing and dialysis or transplantation may be in your future? You have come to the right site. There are many places to find information on the internet. Many groups have been given birth in cyberspace. So why are we different? We are the place where your views are respected regardless of your race, gender, religious, non-religious, political or non-political opinions. Respectful differences of opinion will not be squelched or elicit reprimand on this boards. Dialysis patients and caregivers/care partners provide a wealth of information based on their experiences. Many of us have been doing dialysis for many years.
You will have access to information which some may deem political in nature but which affect all of us. It is our opinion that the current state of the economy and political bantering in congress can have very bleak effects on our dialysis system. Many of us also know the importance of our belief system and how it is so intertwined in our journey on dialysis. It is almost impossible to separate these entities from one another. This is where our board rises above the others. You will be respected and not censored - honest debate with respect and tolerance to each individual.
Our only criteria, no profanity and no personal attacks.
