Haven't posted in awhile, here's an update.

Hi, I know it's been awhile but I wanted to update. So much has been going on lately!

We'll start with me since it's a much shorter story.

Well, my husband and I are expecting our third child in December! We're excited but of course we must be crazy. Especially me since my husband is deploying this year. Can't say when or to where but it's rapidly approaching. Why is it when you want something to happen it takes forever (like the last month of pregnancy) but when you don't want something to happen time moves so much faster? That's life I suppose.

On to my father, mother, partially blind sister and alcoholic half-sister. *Sigh* So much has happened since I was last here. My dad has been doing well with his dialysis. I went home for a visit back in February. He did seem a bit tired but he was his old ornery self. He enjoyed seeing his granddaughters and of course having me around to tease. He had some bleeding issues with his arm (non fistula) but he is on quite a few blood thinners. So, I stayed for a month and got my sister out of the house. She's partially blind at the moment. For the most part her surgeries are helping. Obviously, she can't drive and the only places my parents go are to the grocery store and dr. appointments.

Well, after I left my dad kept getting nosebleeds. His platelets were low enough to warrant a hospital stay and blood transfusion. This is about the 3rd time this has happened since he's been on dialysis. Oh and we just passed his 2nd anniversary of dialysis. Sometimes it's a wonder how he made it this long but he's a tough one. Stubborn too. After his blood and bleeding issues were fixed he was doing fine.

April 19th, my sister had an surgery in a town 3 hours away. She had another appointment the next day so they planned to stay over night. My father had dialysis on the 20th so he stayed home. Around 6am on the 19th he woke up and went to make himself breakfast. He fell and broke his leg. Thank goodness he had the phone in his pocket or else he would have had to wait until the shuttle driver came to pick him for dialysis the next day! Well he got flown down to the same large city that my mom and sister were in and they put a pin in his leg. They kept him pretty drugged up while he was there. On May 2nd, they transfered him to a nursing home an hour away from where my parents live for rehab.

Here is where my alcoholic half sister (father's first marriage) comes in. A couple days after my dad was sent to the nursing home she called my mom, livid. Shouting over the phone accusing my mom of pawning him off to the nursing home and that my mom was going to leave him there to die.

I knew this would happen. I've had to ignore all her calls since those shenanigans went down.

So yesterday, my dad was at dialysis and the man from the nursing home came to pick him up. As he was lifting him from the dialysis chair to the wheelchair, he dropped my dad. It caused some internal bleeding so he's in the hospital right now. We had to tell my half sister that he fell, Dad's idea. I'm not sure how long he'll be in the hospital for, the internal bleeding has stopped.

Sorry for such a long post but like I said it's a been awhile and a lot of things have happened.
