Yay! NASCAR has finally started! Summer's on the way! Who's your favourite driver? I'm beginning to think this year's Daytona 500 is cursed. Cancelled twice and the problems during the race. Lots of firsts.

What a long race sort of. What a weird incidence wth the fire. Odd how the first responder on screen goes to Jaun instead of the unprotected jet dryer driver who's truck is on fire.

I used to watch NASCAR back in the early '90s but have dropped off as of late.  However, I am excited beyond belief that pitchers and catchers have reported for spring training.  I get a little bit of SAD in February after football season is over and spring training always brings hope....

...and then as a Cubs fan, the hope goes away sometime in mid-July.   :sarcasm;

Or sooner depending how they start out for either team.

Just so happy Jimmy Johnson had a bad day! Wish the drivers were more like drivers of the Old day's. To much control from NASCAR on what they can't say on their own radio

I'm a huge fan of the Labonte brothers, especially Terry. I would rather follow auto racing than any other sport. When was the last time you heard of a NASCAR driver being accused of murder, drunk driving or any of the other crimes that the overpaid athletes in other sports try to get away with?

Ummmmm Bush, Kurt! Bad example about drinkinking :-[
Then his dumb brother doing 140 plus on public road in a car not of his own. Other than those nitwits really nothing. If you test positive for drugs, your out and not allowed to any NASCAR affiliated race to drive or attend.

Don't forget Jeremy Mayfield, but so far, no murderers!!  I love Nascar too!  But really liked it in the ole days!

Ever since the death of Dale, it has changed sooooo much.  I really miss #3 on the track.  I wasn't even a fan of his either, but missed chewing him out when he would nudge someone and take the win!  Awesome stuff!  I was a Jimmy Spencer fan!  Now he no longer races, but Im glad to see Danica on a part-time basis!  I think she will do well in Nascar, but it is a learning curve right now!

Wished I had thought of this thread Cebushan.  I definately relate & agree!

Danica has a huge learning curve.  She need to learn to get in the way.  Those boys play rough!

Jeremy Mayfield... That was a sad situation. But I applaud NASCAR's decision. Other sports should follow their example.

Yea, I agree with you!  They don't allow the illegal stuff to go on.  They find out, you are out!!  I commend that!

Im not a Jr. fan either, but was definately happy when he won in Michigan.  Lot of fans don't like Michigan track, but I do. It is fast like Atlanta, but cruel too.  I remember Ernie Irvan almost loosing his life on that track, during a practice run, I think.

I don't follow racing like I use to, but I still "Dabble" in it still!
