It's all me.

« on: February 18, 2012, 07:26:04 PM »

 :waving;
Some might already know me from the NephSpace also as Mamagemini.
I was first diagnosed in August 2005 with Nephrotic syndrome, then a biopsy led to FSGS. It has been a freaking wild ride since then. With many dark valleys and oe or two highs.
Last month I was told my GFR was 20 now and going fast. 2 weeks later it was 16. I was scheduled to see the vascular surgeon last week and they are putting in the referral for the vein mapping and so on. Going to Hemodialysis to begin with and see how it goes. A little scared because I heard the first 2 months are the hardest but if I can get over that then all will be okay. I keep telling myself this is my lifeline.
Any info I can get from here will be an asset.

HI!  Yes, I have seen you on NephSpace and have been following your story.  There is no better place on the web than this site to get information AND support.  If we do not know the answer, someone will know where to get it.  I am really glad you have joined.  Let us know how we can help you!

Hi mamagemini, and welcome to IHD.  I'm so glad you joined us.  Starting dialysis is very scary and that is normal to be scared.  We have lots of posts about what to expect and what to take to your first session.

Thank you to all of you. It looks like a roller coaster of a ride.
Weird today, I ate lunch with my son, went to the movies and ran to the bathroom.  :P not vomit but well you get the picture. Anyways that came out of nowhere. I am guessing it is just the beginning.
I will go post a question now...again thank you to you all.
