Hi all.....I joined yesterday, the hubby is on home hemo waiting for a kidney. He has PKD, had been in center for about 9 months, now home.....it's quite the experience for us both and I am thrilled to have found this community. We have already been able to ease our minds about something we gleaned from the topics....I am encouraging him to join as well....look forward to this experience.

Hi, Mscreat! I love the name!  :clap; :clap; :clap;

We did home hemo (and kidney failure due to PKD!)

My husband got his "new" kidney about a year ago, so hang in there.

This is a great place for learning the ropes!

Hooray for the caregivers !!!  Welcome to the board.  I do hope your husband joins as well.  Lots of great folks here and plenty of information to learn (and for you to share too,  I'm sure).  Best wishes to both of you.

Hi -  our stories are very similair,  I'm my hubby's caretaker, he was on in-center for 9 months, and he is now on his 2nd week of training.   We are located in Wichita, Ks -  are you in the US ?   Are you on the NxStage Users facebook page ?   I joined that also this week ----         :welcomesign;

Hi....  :welcomesign;

Another carer here... Caring for my mum, Elsie who's on Manual PD after a year on In-Centre heamo... Mum also has Parkinson's Disease, and is showing signs of Parkinson's Dementia... So I administer her dialysis...

The complicating feature for us is that I'm a wheelchair user!.....

Please visit often... You'll find us a friendly bunch... They're not all as quiet and shy and retiring as I am!!!!.... :rofl;

Love to all carers out there...
