As mentioned in the initial Chicago meetup thread, restaurants near the Ogilvie Transportation Center are proving problematic. 

Please vote on whether you would prefer to meet in Downtown Chicago (I'll still try to make it near public transit!) or if you would prefer St. Charles/Geneva (still on train lines, but out in the burbs).  Or if you're in no matter what, that's great! 

Poll will be up for 10 days.

I voted for Chicago because I am thinking it would be easier to find for people out of town. Either location is really fine to me.
 
Or another thought is a town off the highway for people coming from out of state. Such as I -88 (Reagan Memorial Expressway) or there is a Cracker Barrel off I-80 that we went to for the Chicago meet. There are two off I-80, one in Tinley Park, the other in Joliet and then there is one off I-55 in Bolingbrook.
 
I met Moosemom at Denny's off I-88 in Aurora with Sugarlump, several different restaurants off I-88 and Naperville Road in Naperville, Downers Grove has a few also off i-88 (Highland Road exit)or 355 on Butterfield Road.
 
Since there maybe more people coming and from out of state, I'm thinking we should have area more centrally located to a major road exit for easier finding of places or public transportation. If jbeany comes in, maybe Amtrak would be cheaper than driving?

Oh heck yeah Chris, now you are talking my language.  I live in Bolingbrook, LOL.  The western suburbs are my stomping grounds.  Bolingbrook is right off I-355 and I-55 and easily accessible from everywhere, except via public transit for anyone who would be thinking of taking the train.  I think I'll add a fourth selection to the poll.

I'm less than 30 minutes from the train station, and it's only 30 bucks to get from here to Union Station in Chicago, so that's probably what I'd end up doing rather than driving, if I can go.

Come to think of it, that might be a fun thing to do for my next Grand Day Out with my nephew - take the train and go to a museum in Chicago.

But it is, Lisle Train Station that goes to Union Station or even Downers Grove with the Belmont stop. I can meet some people to pick up at the Lisle stop. Train tickets from Union Station I believe are still $5 on the weekend that are round trip tickets.

Neil, my bestie, and I are in for the meetup!!  :2thumbsup;  I am not really sure about Chicago so, I am trusting that who ever is making the decisions (Cattlekid?) to pick somewhere that isn't to hard to find....please....

10 transplant years = spleenectomy, gall bladder removed, liver biopsy, bone marrow aspiration.
July 27, 2010 Started dialysis for the first time ever.
June 21, 2011 2nd kidney nonrelated living donor
September 2013 Liver Cancer tumor.
October 2013 Ablation of liver tumor.
Now scans every 3 months to watch for new tumors.
Now Status 7 on the wait list for a liver.
How about another decade of solid health?

Yes I am out of the hospital, but now I'm fuzzy on which highway you would be coming on. I'm thinking either I-55 or I-80, but leaning towards 55. Forgot which one was used to go to PA.
 
If I remember a meeting place was chossen in Geneva which is almost straight north of me. I could meet you off a highway exit while still maybe helping jbeany get there if she is still planning to come.
