I am going up to the field again today & will bring my camera. Its new to me (Pentax optio mx) and I haven't used the video feature yet, but I will see what I can do. A club member did take some footage of the plane, but said it would be some time before he will get to put it on a DVD.
On a side note, another member has the real plane mine is modeled after, and flew up yesterday to give us a show. That was awesome seeing the real thing doing 4 point rolls, flying inverted, loops then finally a high speed low pass 100 feet above our heads. As you may have guessed, we share our model airport with small aircraft. Hang in there, test footage to come (crossing fingers)

Ah, I can relate to that. I don't even own a digital camera (though I did have a digicam at one point) - and whenever I try to use a digital camera I get confused. I just can't work them!  :D

Too bad you didn't catch a ride. I don't think I could stomach the rolls however.

Thanks for the pic Joepaul. How long on a tank of fuel can your bird stay in the air? Also if you run out will it float to a safe landing or crash?

I have been timing the fuel consumption and so far I can fly a good 15 minutes on 16 ounces of fuel. Once the engine is broken in, I'm sure that will go up to 20 minutes. This plane does glide well enough in the event the engine should flame out, I should be able to bring it in for a safe landing. Thanks for the compliments  ;D

Here is my latest project, its a 1/4 scale model of an actual "homebuilt" experimental RV-4.

AWESOME plane, Joe Paul. I'd love to get into RC flying, if I had the money to do it.

Here are some upgrades to my RAPIDLY growing model collection (again, these are all ships-I guess I'm and old salt at heart, even though I've only seen the ocean once). First is the heavy cruiser U.S.S Indianapolis (appropriate because I live in Indy).

Next is the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Enterprise. This model is only about three inches long (1/1200 scale).

The next two are my current project, the coast defense battleship U.S.S. Oregon (the US navy's third "real" battleship). The most difficult part of this model has been the painting. The kit comes molded entirely in gray, intending to be modeled as the ship appeared in 1898 during the Spanish-American war, but I chose to build the ship as she appeared just after entering service in 1896, so I've had a TON of painting to do, since the 1896 version didn't have ANY gray.

I have 5 planes & 2 I store on the wall in my room, the other 3 I keep on a platform in my basement. Nice work on the models Adam! Thanks again for the compliments.

While looking at this thread again I just noticed there is a pilot in the cockpit.  That is too cool.

Oh my goodness, so there is! Well spotted - is that why you're called "Hawkeye?"

:D Back in high school we had a teacher we used to call Hawkeye 'cause he could see us smoking at the back of the oval when no other teachers could.
