Well, my spring cleaning/decluttering war is pretty much done, so I had to find something else to keep me busy. So I'm working on helping everyone else get organized instead, by making fabric storage bins to sell at my next craft show.
I need those! How much are they?

My dad got all gung ho for RC airplane kits when I was a kid. We didn't have much money, so the expense was a huge chunk of our budget, but my mom scrimped and saved and bought him one for Christmas one year. My sis and I were still in early elementary, so we heard an endless litany of "Don't touch! It's not a toy! You'll ruin it if you play with it!" all through the building process. He meticulously put it together and then patiently waited for spring to come to clear a nearby field of our usual 6 feet of snow, so he'd have a proper runway. On the big day, we all trooped out to watch, terribly excited and impatiently waiting for the fabulous little plane to soar.It crashed into smithereens seconds after take-off.

That's one reason I have never gotten into RC airplanes. You put all that work into an airplane, then wreck it in a single crash. I did have a cheap little RC helicopter, and I crashed it on one of it's first flights. I tried to repair it, but could never get it to work right again. I gave up on all RC flying models at that time. All my models sit on shelves where they are (usually) safe.
