Hey Keith,
If you haven't already figured it out. What you are doing now probably helps more than you know. So when you state: "All you do" many of us see a whole lot more. Keep fighting the good fight brother!

I thought I would put up a few pics of my more memorable catches

 1 & 2 --250lbs marlin I caught in Jamiaca

3 - 19.8lbs Gar pike I caught in Napanee, Ontario. Would have been the Ontario record if I knew it at the time and recorded it properly

4 - 36lbs carp caught on the Rideau Canal

As for hobbies, I recently started to get right back into cooking.

I hate the clean-up part though, I wish I would pick an easier hobby. lol. Or maybe I just need a bigger dishwasher and a maid to clean the bench tops.  :bandance;

That is why I do not cook, the clean up is terrible and no one helps.

Here are some photos of my beloved garden in early summer.  The beds eventually get filled in with the annuals and I keep putting pots or barrels in the perennial beds as things fade out.  I'm also planning some more shrub plantings to cut down on my lawn areas.

monrein, your garden and yard are beautiful. How would you like to come to Maryland and do mine? I will feed you all the weird stuff they eat around here. I'm so jealous.  :-*

Glad you like the garden.

Found it!  Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.  Okay, I am inspired to try harder with my shade.

Time for an update on my scale model navy:

These are my newest ships, which I didn't actually build, but they are part of my collection so I'll add them. They are the battleships USS Texas and USS Utah. They are my smallest ship models, which were hand made entirely from metal. These little models are kind of pricey, but the detail that you get with such a small model makes them worth the price.

This is the Japanese aircraft carrier IJN Akagi. It's not done yet, and there is a lot of touch up work to do, such as smoothing out rough paint spots, but it's coming along.

IJN Musashi. I posted this model a while ago, but I've since started adding full rigging to the masts. The rigging is made from steel wire, and it's not quite done yet, but most of it is there.

Now all you need is a few United States submarines and a bomber to attack your ships!

Nice! I especially like the tanks. I've done a few tank models (I still have a Sherman waiting to be fixed), and while I don't enjoy building them quite like I do ships, trains and planes, they are still an interesting mode subject.

Great work Adam...I used to be so hooked on crafts, everything in the world and I worked 60 to 80 hours a week also so I think just wore out...now I just breath but I am getting back to sewing..I used to sew all my sons and husbands suits, shirts, etc, sleeping bags..went through a sewing machine a year.  I bought an embroidery machine the month before I lost my vision so just have not used it yet but I am thinking about dusting it off and trying it.  I also enjoy reading, and my perennial garden.  At this time I'm trying to teach my ADHD grandaughter how to sew and cook and that is a feat in itself and a whole nother story..she has no control and chooses not to have.

Hey Adam,

I got my husband a 1/64 scale PT-109 model boat kit, and he was wondering if it can be painted with acrylic instead of oil based paints. Any insight? Thanks.
