Hubby likes to have a project to work on.  he enjoys carpentry and building things.  He is good at it as well (or I think so anyway)!!lol  I am the helper on this project that we have spent most of the summer working on.  It will be a home for our boat, skidoo, atv, snowblower and a lot of other junk.  Here are some pictures.

Hey Adam,

I got my husband a 1/64 scale PT-109 model boat kit, and he was wondering if it can be painted with acrylic instead of oil based paints. Any insight? Thanks.
Karol
Sorry I was late responding. It could be painted with either (as long as it's plastic compatible), but I prefer enamel personally. I just think it goes on a little more smoothly.

Del, that building is wonderful!   My Dad was a carpenter so I thought all men could build anything.  Wrong!  I love the smell of sawdust!  Dad built houses and I use to love to go with him on the job and hand nails to him.    I think I could move into that new building---great job!

Here are some more photos of my garden as the summer has rained along.  The plants love the rain and so I don't mind it.

Gail, I finally found your garden photos.  Beautiful!  It looks like the pacific northwest where you are.  Do you get lots of rain?

It gets so hot and dry here in the summer that most everything is looking sort of tired and brown by now.  It's hard to justify planting things that need a lot of water in my yard because we have a well.

Thanks for sharing your oasis.

We don't usually get as much rain as we have this summer.  I water my beds in summer as a rule but the grass often has to fend for itself.  I also try to plant trees and shrubs to provide as much shade to the lawn as possible.  I'm enjoying this year's garden-friendly weather.

No Karol, by the time I got used to going in center for hemo again, the summer passed me by. Didn't get much flying time in either, maybe next year.
