Been registeredon here for some time but have only recently started visiting here regularly.  Suddenly realisedthat I never introduced myself (renegade that I am! :yahoo; :yahoo;)

Was diagnosed with CKD about 23 years ago.  Did PD for 18 months, had a kidney transplant for 10 years, did PD for another 8 years, and have recently switched to NxStage (do short dailybut ultimately want to do extended). Went to NxStage Users conference in New Orleans in October and met a group of great people and so pleased that I have joined their ranks doing NxStage as I feel so much better than I had for at leadt the last four years.

By the way, I'm am already liking the regulars that I meet on here too.

A belated, howdy, Amanda!

 :waving;

I recognize you from the NxStage users forum (where I rarely post any more since Carl was fortunate enough to get a TX last February).

We were going to go to the NxStage conference until life kind of changed on us.... and I'm NOT complaining!  :rofl;

Well Amanda, I see you have been through quite alot over the years, and pretty much can teach us alot through your experiences.  I too love this NxStage.  My husband is looking and feeling better than he ever has since he was diagnosed.  I tribute it to NxStage and this site. I never knew this site existed until we trained for NxStage and nurse told me to come here for support cause I didnt feel I could do NxStage after the 1st day of training. I came here, read few posts and went back next day and told him "Lets Do This".

Here we are over a year later, things running smooth as silk!  So glad I did not QUIT.
So thankful to him for his properly training me & J. and very thankful that he turned me on to IHD.

God Bless,
lmunchkin
