Hello,

My medical history of the dialysis experience begins when I was at the age of 12 years old. I had a fistula put in and started dialysis, I was on it for 3 years and received my first kidney transplant (1981) I kept that kidney for 3 years and then was lucky enough to receive my second kidney transplant (1983) before i had to go back on dialysis. I kept that kidney for 21 years. Very fortunate i know especially being a cadaver. I have since been back on dialysis going on seven years now in December. I have been working full time for most of the time I have been back on dialysis minus a short term of unemployment. I hope to learn a lot from this sight and to also be able to help others with there journey of life on dialysis.

thank you

Wow!  21 years is fabulous!  Looks like we'll have plenty to learn from you, too.  Welcome to IHD.

Hi Roskidney, and welcome to IHD.  I'm so glad you found us.  Where are you from?  I admire that you work.  What do you do ?

21 years is wonderful, but I hope you get another kidney soon.
