I don't remember the last time I drank a glass of milk or had a handful of nuts. It's been at least 7 years, that much I know.
Enjoy!!!

Interesting. My Mg is a little low too... and I haven't had nuts for a little while. Mmmmm so cashews sound good to me
Think I'll stop off at the supermarket on the way home and get me some. yum!
isn't it great being told to eat all this stuff rather than "avoid all that stuff!" !!!

My Mg has always been low since I was a kid with diabetes. I have to take the high dose pills twice a day just to keep it close to a normal limit. I'd eat sunflower kernnels (no salt if they had them) all day if I could or some variety of nuts if I could. Milk iswhat I normally use (flavored Hershey milks
) or chocolate milk to make great hot chocolate

One of my first post tx foods in the hospital was au gratin potatoes. At home it was back to Jay's No Salt Potato Chips (way better than Frito Lay's that adds more to theirs)\

On Wednesday Blokey brought home his Post-transplant Dietary Advice sheet. Apart from the fact that he won't be able to have his steak the way he likes it (rare), nor partake of Brie at Christmas-time, he's quite looking forward to savouring many of the items which he's either not eaten, or barely eaten.
And he is SO looking forward to having cereal again, with lashings and lashings of milk!
Enjoy your food, tyefly!

Food has never been exciting to me.
I know some people usually have a favorite dish but not me. The only thing I really missed while on dialysis was cheese. When I got my transplant (2nd) I ate cheese like it was going out of style. Now…cheese has lost its luster. I don’t like milk since I have a problem with lactose. I guess I am just bored with food. I do enjoy a piece of chocolate now and again but I don’t crave it or anything. I eat when I am hungry but I don’t like feeling stuffed or full. I supposed that reminds me too much of PD.
