darth:   whats it shaped like, and where did she get it??????????? lol
quote (You should see what her toothbrush is shaped as!).

Erm... Gothic... How to put this delicately... It's shaped as a, um, ahem,... Appendage!... Male appendage!!!.... :rofl;

Oh, and she got it from a friend who brought it to her when she was in hospital... Vicky thought it (along with several other similar shaped items in a basket) would make her smile... Needn't tell you, it caused uproar on the ward!!!...  :rofl;

I messaged Rerun with my address, but I haven't heard anything back.    ???

Hi Cordelia...

Rerun probably can't find the time to PM everyone back... The Secret Santa takes a huge amount of organising, and poor RR would probably be wearing her fingers to the bone trying... But, if you look at the very first post of this thread, you'll see a list of people who are in... You're on that list!... RR seems to regularly update that list as she gets PM's from members wishing to take part...

Great to see so many people, including yourself keen to take part... This is GREAT fun!....

Love to all...

Rerun is great at taking care of IHD.  It is a consuming task to take on, plus keep up with all the new posts.  Mods read every post in their section to look for problems, questions, etc.  And some times Mods take vacations or time off.    If your name is on the list, you're good.  It will be a few weeks before we get the names of who we are Secret Santa to.    I love this gift exchange.  Pam did an excellent job last year being my Secret Santa!!!   :cuddle;   It was like she lived next door instead of several states away!     :2thumbsup;

I HATE pink with a passion!!!!!!.... YUCK!!!!... Now I won't even wear pink foundation garments... Nightmare... Pink is Satan's own creation!!.... Traumatised???... You bet I am!...

I am SOOOOO with you on pink! Ugh! I don't have any childhood traumas, but I just hate pink and it is BANNED from my house. I do have one pink-and-yellow tie-dyed shirt I've been using as a cleaning shirt to try and wear it out. Fourteen years now and it's FINALLY starting to fall apart, thank goodness!

Oh, I can't WAIT to start shopping for my SS! I LOVE giving gifts! I LOVE Christmas!

I'll have to think on my likes and dislikes. I'll never top darthvader's post, though.  :rofl;

Thankee kindly, DD....

You actually wear puke, I mean, pink???... I don't care that it's a cleaning shirt... It's still PINK!!!!!...... Ooooohhhhh, YUCK!!!!!... And you actually admit it???.. Oh boy!!!!....  :rofl;

An elderly friend gave me a bright Barbie pink blouse for my twenty-first birthday... There was a traveller (Gypsy) site near us... They kept horses and goats, and often they'd get loose... There were two particular goats that LOVED our back garden, and ate everything they could get their hooves on, including clothing from the clothes line... You can see where this is going, can't you???...  ;D ;D ;D

I decided I had to take full advantage of this tendency.... So I got the blouse and a large jar of honey... Spread the honey all over the offending garment... Front, back, collar, sleeves, collar, the lot!... No point in half doing it... If the goats had only eaten a sleeve, I'd have been told to make a short-sleeved blouse of it... Not a hope... I wanted RID!!!!!...

So I hung the honeyed blouse onto the line, and left it to the goats... Hee Hee... The goats LOVED it!... Fought each other to get to it!...  SHREDDED!!!!!... There was one sleeve intact(ish), a bit of a collar, and a half of the back of the blouse left on the line!...  :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;

I took the remainder of the offending article inside, ran it through the washing machine on a delicate wash (I cared that much, huh???) to remove any trace of honey... Think that's called destroying the evidence!...

Next time Esther visited, I put on my most mournful face, and told her about the goats eating my "lovely pink blouse"... Oh dear, how I kept a straight face is beyond me!!!!... I showed her the remainder of the blouse... She shared my 'concern' and sympathised!!!...  :rofl;

I hate pink!!!!!!.....

Love to all...

Suppose I should add my likes & dislikes to this section:

likes:  candles (as long as they are not a "laundry soap" scent as my husband says), books (anything but romances or vampire books), kitchen gadgets, toys (no stuffed!) or treats (grain-free if possible) for my beagle - he destroys stuffed toys in seconds!, foods from your neck of the woods, esp. hot sauces!

dislikes:  guess I covered those above   ;D

Darth, the post about you and your mom's likes totally cracked me up.  My mom wants to know where your mom's toothbrush came from.  She thinks a lady she works with would love it. *L*

CebuShan, if you like handmade stuff, you'd love the store my mom works in.  Everything in it is handmade by local artists and craftspeople.  Last year, I got Glitter a necklace and some postcards from that store.  If you're lucky, I'll get you, as I usually get stuff from that store, just cuz a lot of it is really unique.  If you want, they have a website.. http://www.nwknitwear.ca

I'll have to think about my likes.. I have far too many.. *LOL*

This list will most likely be added to up until, well, Christmas. *L*

Stuffed animals
Candy
Candles
Odd (but inexpensive) gadgets.  Last year, GothicLoveMonkey sent me a fan that you can broadcast messages with the blades.  It needs batteries.. *LOL*
trinkets or oddities from your area
postcards, books (I like YA or vampire books)
Music.. I love local up and coming, doesn't really matter the genre

And, if my SS is in the US, I'll take anything from the Daily Show or Colbert Report section of the Comedy Central store, as they will not ship to Canada. psst... Stephen unveiled a set of stamps tonight....

Wanted to add, didn't feel like retyping.. *L*

I started collecting the Harry Potter movies, now that I've read all the books.  I have the first 2 movies.  At the moment, there are 5 more available

Thanks guys keep them coming.  I need and even number, I'm crazy that way.  Right now we have 33 and that won't be even.  I just won't participate, and that is sad.

Del is a great secret Santa.  She has had ME 2 years in a row.  She may get me again since I'm in charge.  HA
