Low Drain Volume

I'm on a Baxter cycler and lately my Low Drain Volume alarm is waking me up EVERY night on drain 3 of 4 about 6AM. Never alarms on any other part of the cycle. I can stand up or sit on the bed and the drain continues on fine. Go back to sleep and no more alarms.

If it is the same drain the same time every night i would ask for a new machine.

Unless at that same time everyday it is the way you are sleeping?  Maybe you shift onto the tube?  If not get a new machine no use losing sleep over what could be a bad machine...

Hmmm...good point. I didn't consider the machine. Maybe try a new ProCard first? I'll see if this keeps happening and if the pattern continues I think you have the winning answer.

No we are not constipated, no we do not have fibrin, we are pissed of that alarms or should I say machines have a mind of there own. Some nights our machine chugs as though it is on its last legs. We often feel like kicking it and just when you have had enough and want to throw it, it kicks in as though nothing has happened and it goes merrily on its way.

Yeah, last night no alarms at all and it was quiet as a mouse. Other nights like you said it sounds like an oil rig is drilling in my bedroom.

I get those alarms with a regular frequency every third night or so, but I've just chalked it up to my body and the machine coming to an agreement to annoy me.

Got Low Drain Volume on cycles 3 and 4 last night. Got up and did the 'PD Shuffle' to reposition cath, and was fine for cycle 5. Hope this is not going to be a recurring thing...

last night husband sat on the bed and as Joe said "did the PD shuffle" whilst listening to his MP3 player. I thought he was dancing, bless him. He woke about 5am just as the last drain kicked in and did the same thing. he had a brilliant drain and a really good UF. So boys and girls out there stay awake all night and do the  "PD SHUFFLE"  I love it we could make a video gang because who out there sleeps all night.

Yes we could! Though I try not to do it while sitting on the bed - don't want to disturb the dogs
