I currently have 6 living donors going through the process.  One of which (this man is my angel) has done all the blood work, 24 urine collection, met with the transplant team, done his EKG, ultrasound and now has met with the shrink (required for non-relative donors).  Can anyone tell me if I should start getting excited?  I don't know what's next in the process, but I feel there might be a light at the end of the tunnel.  The transplant team won't tell me anything.

It sounds like you have a real possibility. There are earlier stages where they would have stopped the testing if he wasn't a match. And he would have had the chance to bow out if he didn't want to do it. He might still need the renal arteriogram. So guarded excitement is the way to go. I hope it works out for you.

Good luck to you... I've never gotten that far, but then, I've never had any willing donors

They still have to go through the "committee", right?  I ran three wonderfully matched donors (two were my brothers) all the way through the process and they got bumped in the "committee".  As long as your possible donors are in good health, as well as a match, you should have a good outcome!  Sounds very promising!!!   :clap;   Fingers crossed for you!!!   :beer1;
