Hello,

My name is swapnil and I'm from India. My mother is 52 years old. She is diabetic and hypertension patient since 1997. In 2008, she had recurrent episodes of UTI and she had to be dialysed several times before her creatinine values came down to 2.2. Simultaneously she was given cortico steroid to reduce inflammation in her kidneys. Now her creatinine is 1.5mg/dl.
Through this forum, I look forward to participate in the discussions and hopefully collaborate with other members to help each other.

Welcome to our community, Swapnil!  I am always pleased when concern for a loved one bring someone to IHD.  this is just the place for information, support and encouragement.  what I didn't understand from your post is whether your mother is now having regular dialysis.
We have a great section, especially for caregivers.  You might want to check it out.  Please consider us your new family  :grouphug;
There is lots here to read, and you can ask all the questions you want.  Just keep posting and let us know how your mom is doing.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Can you type out how to say swapnil?  Such an interesting name - I want a pronunciation guide so I don't mangle it with my American accent!

"Asbestos Gelos"  (As-bes-tos yay-lohs) Greek. Literally, "fireproof laughter".  A term used by Homer for invincible laughter in the face of death and mortality.
