Hi folks, this is just a brief intro - all that time will currently allow  :bow; We will expand upon it in the next few days.

First, I am Rolando  >:D I live in Tampa, FL with my beautiful wife, my three lovely daughters, and my sister. I have been on hemodialysis for a little more than 4 years. At the moment I am having a difficult time with dialysis (wild bp, digestive issues, depression, and aa hard time just sitting still for sooo long - details later). I am a type 1 diabetic and it is the root of my kidney failure and other issues.

I like to travel, surf, go to the movies, eat out, listen to music, watch tv, and spend time with my family  :grouphug; .

Second, I am Alene, Rolando's "sister"  :cuddle; and primary caregiver - more later

Welcome you two!  You have found the right site for both of you.  We have a great section for care-givers.  You may come here to get your questions answered and also to feel sorry for yourself.  You deserve it.

Welcome Rolando and Alene,

It's great to have you here at IHD and I hope you gain knowledge and friendships.

Unfortunately kidney disease and dialysis is what brings us all together, however this site has been a life line for many, whether just to rant or pass along good solid truthful information.

Again welcome we will look forward to your posts.

Hi Rolando  & Alene, welcome,

You have found an extended family & an understanding one that shares your feelings.
They have been through it all.

Alene, I am a caregiver too & IHD has helped me in so many ways to understand what my husband is going through.

we would like to thank all of you for your warm welcomes...... I'm sure Alene and i will be happy here i personally can't wait to start ranting, i think it'll take a load off my shoulders it's been a looooong four and a half years of in-center dialysis for me and I'm at the end of my rope especially since gambro sold my unit to Davita....Davita as many of you know is a crock of shit they made many of the former gambro techs quit the place and now we have many newbies at the unit and honestly the don't know their ass from their elbow...well i guess i already started so I'll let it go for now...thanks again for the welcomes....
