I have NEVER in my life experienced this from a car dealership.

I had my car salesman call me up and screaming and yelling at me about not giving her 100% on a customer survey. This woman called me up at WORK screaming and yelling at me because I didn’t give a 100% grade on the customer survey. She was saying she had to pay a $500 fine. I am like WHATEVER…I just spent close to $20 grand at that dealership and you got the NERVE to call me up yelling and screaming at me?!?!?!? F YOU AND THAT DEALERSHIP I already called the owner of the dealership lodging my complaints. Some manager called asking me to please call him back. OH HE11 No…..I will talk to the OWNER of that dealership and no one else. Plus I will be sending an email to the actually car company. I will be naming names and naming the dealership.

What good is a “customer survey” if they don’t want HONEST answers? They have pissed off the wrong woman!

YlGuy....trust me I am not going to let this go. I have already put in an application to refinance my car with my credit union. I will be sending an email to the actual car comapny headquarters. I will be naming names and naming the dealership in the email.
This to me is outrageous! I spend my hard earned money at your dealership and you have the never to call me up b1tching me out??
I am  sure that so called manager wants to apologise or whatever....no apology will surfice. They have completely crossed the line with me. Registered letters, emails and phone calls will be going out to all concerned.

Some people are just  :urcrazy;......

I dont think i have ever filled out a rate me/us card and given all category's 100% across the board.

In the letter you should mention that not only have they lost your business but also everyone that you tell about this bad encounter.
I mean you bought the car that should make the salesman/woman more then happy on its own.

Seems to me she should have told you about it before, and what it would cost her if she didn't get 100% - and then knocked $500 off your price to get you to put down the perfect score!   ;D

How about the local media.  Maybe the local paper would like to publish a story about this dealership.

I just sent  a nice :sarcasm;  little email to the corporate headquarters. I refinanced my car with my credit union at the same rate. This car company will not be getting interest from me.
I spoke with the dealership manager....all he did was say sorry. Whatever...to little too late. I told them I would never set foot on their lot again as long as that sales person worked there. I also said "You have lost a customer!"  He was basically like  ::) whatever.

I am sure when he apologised to me he was thinking 'I took care of that.... on to the next one'
LOL   I would love to see the look on their faces when they get a fax from corporate saying they are investigating a complant from me.  :clap;

WOW  :o
I never put all my information on customer surveys, but it also sounds fishy that she would loose $500 because she did not get 100%. The manager may not care, butthe owner should. In this economy they should be happy they are getting business. As stated before, very unprofessional.

So what car company was this?

I would say that that manager or the salesperson never took any sales courses.  One of the first things taught in the course I took was that a customer will tell of their experiences, good or bad, to an average of 10 people, those 10 people will tell an average of 10 people, etc.  It's word of mouth, and it's the best advertising you can get.  So far, you've told everyone who's read this thread, and I'm sure you went into more detail with people around you.  I'm sure that those you've told will not buy from that dealership, or even the company after this.

They shot themselves in the foot.  I'm sure that the company doesn't want the salespeople, those who are the representatives of their brand, to treat customers the way you were treated.  It gives them a bad reputation, and in this economy, that's the last thing that they want.

I am sure the sales person is going to lie and say she never called screaming and yelling. And I amsure the manager will try to sweep this under the rug by not telling the owner about it. They said the owner was out of town.
I am hoping to get a phone call from Kia Motors with some sort of acceptable resolution .

Obviously she wasn't that intelligent!

With the likes of Facebook I would think that figure should be much higher (although granted, maybe it's just you and me on there playing Farmville and Bejewelled Blitz ...  ;D )

I am hoping to get a phone call from Kia Motors with some sort of acceptable resolution .
And the moral of this story folks?  Never buy a Kia.

 ;D

She sounds like an idiot, Brightsky.  Yay! you for not letting it go.

I have gone to battle a few times writing letters to headquarters about car repair issues. Once to Buick then to Chevrolet. Both times I got compensated - not fully but enough to make it worth it. It can take a while but hang in there!

My thing is what good is a customer survey if they don't want honest answers?? My guess is if she would have gotten a 100% score then they probably would have handed out a $500 bonus. She was pissed becasue she didn't get her $500 bonus and had probably spent that money already. Hence she called me up screaming and yelling.

I would say then "How do you explain phone records?"
Your company's phone service will have it and so will they and which line she used.

I think she called me on her cell phone. It was a different number than what she had called me on before.

I did get a call from Kia Motors and they said "All Kia dealerships are independantly owner and operated"  translation: We don't give a crap about you.
They went on to say that 'we forwarded your complant to the dealership and to the distric manager.'  translation: We REALLY don't give a crap about you.  NEXT!

At least I can tell everyone I know on this earth NOT to buy a car from Southern Lynnhaven-Kia. It's too bad because I really like my new Kia Soul. I need to call up another dealership to tell them my story and say that I will be coming to them to have any work done on my car.

If she was stupid enough to make a call like that from her cell phone then post the number here.  I know a number of people who would love to give her a call and let her know what kind of person we think she is.

It is an 800 number so the call is free.  Due to the time difference I will have to wait until tomorrow to make the call.
