Hello everyone,

My name is Tarot aka PulseDragon. I am a 32 year old male with an 11 year old son. I just started Dialysis on January 20th, 2011. My kidney failure was caused by my lack of proper care with my diabetes (No one to blame but myself  :banghead;). So far dialysis has removed around 60 pounds of water in the two months I have been on it. I am starting to walk again and am starting to feel much better. The treatments are still making me very weak every time I go (T,T,S – 3 ½ hours – 3X a week).  I hope to get lots of new information and answers from here.  Have a great day and stay strong.  :bandance;

We're all "broken" here, but that doesn't mean we are fragile.

Sixty pounds of water!?  Oh man, no wonder you are feeling better; thank goodness for that.  I hope your condition continues to improve.  The goal is to be a "well" patient on dialysis.  We don't want dialysis in and of itself to cause disability.

Anything you need, you just ask!  We are here to support you in any way we can.  Thanks for joining!

Living life to my max

Welcome.  It seems you have started to understand. This place will help. I can't help but think, however, that you are drinking far to much liquid between D sessions. It is hard to control liquid intake but you MUST do this and quickly.
Good Luck
