We survived the storms with minimal damage.  :2thumbsup;

Lots to clean up. Lost some windows at school and glass in the greenhouse. The hail took a couple years worth of gravel off the shingle roof and our camper was damaged. We don't have phone service at school.

BUT!!!!

No one was injured. All my friends and family are fine! It was a very tense night, but it is over and we are all right!

I've seen a bit about that (mainly through American friends on FB); it hasn't received half the attention it deserved. I think somebody got married - or something - and that was far more important. Glad you're okay.

Awww, how lovely!  Capture every moment in your memory.

Blokey and I toddled off to the local animal shelter and were chosen by a cat.  She needs to be neutered but we should be able to pick her up and bring her home next weekend.

When I got into the office today, there was a box of chocolate Turtles with a little note "Happy Admin Week"...chocolate is NOT allowed in the house....guess I'll just have to keep them at my desk & eat 'em all while at work.... 8)   It's the little things these days! :)

My daughter and SIL bought the house of their dreams today.

They wanted to find a house that had an in-law apartment that we could use when we are too old to live on our own (which I hope is a long, long time from now!!!!)  :rofl;

They know how much I love my pool, so this home also has a pool, to lure me away from my own home!  :2thumbsup;

The home is really lovely. I'm so happy for them!

I woke up :rofl; lol no seriously, I made a date to see my mom on Sunday for mothersday. I haven't seen her in 6 months. My family won't be joining us. They have stuff to do. (not a good thing)

It is a good thing (one thing that this disease changed - she started caring - after 40 years) I know some of you know that my mom and I don't get along at all, but I am really making an effort.

i BOUGHT MYSELF A NEW LEATHER SOFA  wheee! IN A SUMPTIOUS HAVANA COLOURED SOFT LEATHER with recliners, matching armchair
and huge leather footstool/table for my laptop... and if felt good to treat myself. Only downside is it could take up to 12 weeks to appear as
made to order but will be worth it!
Its good to spoil yourself sometimes.
                                                    :bandance;  :bandance;  :bandance;

Also stopped at NEXT and bought chocolate coloured bedlinen, duvet cover, sheet and pillowcases, a thick Eygptian cotton towel in the same colour to brighten up my bedroom....such a a deep rich and sexy color...

Today, I held a part for my son, age 7, and my neice, age 6, for their birthdays, it was Western Themed, good turnout! We had a blast playing Pin the tail on the donkey, Horseshoes, we panned for gold, and had a Pinata! And of course cake and icecream...
We invited 40 school kids plus family, and only 4 showed up from school lol
AmaZING  day, sooo glad the rain held off until literally the SECOND we were getting in our cars to leave the park!!!!

We just got the "big envelope" from a college that our daughter Becca got in! She's been at school in NY and wanted to transfer back to Calif. for her last 2 years of college. I am so happy for her!  :yahoo;

Oh that is good news! So much better to have the chicks closer to home. It is easier on the mother hen!  :2thumbsup;

 :flower;

I got some flowers planted (and others will have to wait as a nice snake was basking in one of my flower boxes and I didn't want to disturb him).

We also went to a nice covered dish dinner with lots of friends.

Just got home from the Stomp concert - I got great seats for my entire family.  We all had a blast, and my 12 year old nephew was entranced!

Today I walked around my local lake, which is Albert Park Lake (where the Melbourne Forumula One Grand Prix is held, incidently). The day was sunny and warm and lovely and I saw these gorgeous swans with their youngsters on their backs and had to take a picture, which I'm attaching.

Tonight.. my tigers won the annual "Dreamtime at the 'G" game in front of 83,000+ fans. We were the underdog, but I was confident we would win, and we beat the Bombers by 16 points. It was a sweet sweet victory, and given I had money on it - extra sweet!

oh, and I drank 4 beers during the game - another reason to be greatful for my transplant!!!!

Yesterday I held my breath for longer than I thought I could.

Today I spontaneously amazed myself by painting the hall and up the stairs (although I did have a near-disaster with the ceiling)!
