Yesterday,
All my troubles seemed so far away,
Now it looks as though they're here to stay,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly,
I'm not half the man I used to be,
There's a shadow hanging over me,
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.

I liked reading the lyrics so much I decided to post the ones from 'my' theme:

Again - Eighteen til I die (Bryan Adams)
anyway - I just wanna say
why bother with what happened yesterday
it's not my style I live for the minute
if ya wanna stay young get both feet in it - 18 til I die

18 til I die - gonna be 18 til I die
it sure feels good to be alive
someday I'll be 18 goin' on 55! - 18 til I die

hehe.. I've been on a bit of a Green Day kick lately..  I heard the song Longview, and thought, "Hey, That's Me!!"  *LOL*

Sit around and watch the tube, but nothing's on
Change the channels for an hour or two
Twiddle my thumbs just for a bit
I'm sick of all the same old s**t
In a house with unlocked doors
And I'm f**king lazy

Gosh, this is difficult.  I have a lot of songs which define certain times or people or occasions in my life, but I'm not sure there's anything which could easily be a theme tune to my life.

The emo deep inside says my theme tune should be either Simple Plan's Welcome to my Life:

Do you ever wanna run away?
Do you lock yourself in your room?
With the radio on turned up so loud
That no one hears you screaming

or Sol Seppy's Slo Fuzz:

Oh I wish I could fly
Through the sky
And the moon above me
Oh I wish I could talk
To the gods and the birds above me
It’s not fun to be so blind
To be so blind

But it could easily be She's a Rainbow (Rolling Stones) or She's So Lovely (Scouting for Girls).

If we're going on how I feel today it's probably Unintended by Muse:

I'll be there as soon as I can
But i'm busy mending broken
Pieces of the life I had before

Of course, if there's a song about a girl being incredibly indecisive then that's my tune!

When I was 32 years old and 4 months pregnant with my second child, my healthy 30 year old husband died unexpectedly in his sleep.  It's been 12 years of "what if's" and "I should have"...

"If Only I Had Known" sung by Reba M.

If I had only known
It was the last walk in the rain
I'd keep you out for hours in the storm
I would hold your hand
Like a life line to my heart
Underneath the thunder we'd be warm
If I had only known
It was our last walk in the rain

If I had only known
I'd never hear your voice again
I'd memorize each thing you ever said
And on those lonely nights
I could think of them once more
Keep your words alive inside my head
If I had only known
I'd never hear your voice again

You were the treasure in my hand
You were the one who always stood beside me
So unaware I foolishly believed
That you would always be there
But then there came a day
And I turned my head and you slipped away

If I had only known
It was my last night by your side
I'd pray a miracle would stop the dawn
And when you'd smile at me
I would look into your eyes
And make sure you know my love
For you goes on and on
If I had only known
If I had only known
The love I would've shown
If I had only known

Mine would (at the moment) be:

Ne Me Quitte Pas (Don’t Leave Me) by Jacques Brel.

The song makes me think of my kidneys.... I hope they won’t leave me –

not just yet...

Bach was no pioneer; his style was not influenced by any past or contemporary century.
He was completion and fulfillment in itself, like a meteor which follows its own path.

As it pertains to IHD:

Help, I need somebody,
Help, not just anybody,
Help, you know I need someone, help.

When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never needed anybody's help in any way.
But now these days are gone, I'm not so self assured,
Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors.

Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me?

And now my life has changed in oh so many ways,
My independence seems to vanish in the haze.
But every now and then I feel so insecure,
I know that I just need you like I've never done before.

Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me.

When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never needed anybody's help in any way.
But now these days are gone, I'm not so self assured,
Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors.

Help me if you can, I'm feeling down
And I do appreciate you being round.
Help me, get my feet back on the ground,
Won't you please, please help me, help me, help me, oh.

Pray For You lyrics (A Country song)

I haven't been to church since I don't remember when
Things were going great '˜til they fell apart again
So I listened to the preacher as he told me what to do
He said you cant go hating others who have done wrong to you.
Sometimes we get angry, but we must not condemn.
Let the good Lord do His job and you just pray for them.

I pray your brakes go out running down a hill
I pray a flowerpot falls from a window sill and knocks you in the
head like I'd like to
I pray your birthday comes and nobody calls
I pray you're flying high when your engine stalls
I pray all your dreams never come true
Just know wherever you are honey, I pray for you

I'm really glad I found my way to church
'Cause I'm already feeling better and I thank God for his words.
Yeah I'm going take the high road,
And do what the preacher told me to do,
You keep messing up and I'll keep praying for you.

I pray your tire blows out at 110.
I pray you pass out drunk with your best friend and wake up with
his and her tattoos.

I pray your brakes go out running down a hill.
I pray a flowerpot falls from a window sill and knocks you in the
head like I'd like to.
I pray your birthday comes and nobody calls
I pray you're flying high when your engine stalls
I pray all your dreams never come true
Just know wherever you are, near or far, in your house or in your
car,
wherever you are honey, I pray for you.
I pray for you
