I'm going to a casual interview with a friend of the family, he's just starting a business and needs a receptionist/office manager type person, so my aunt recommended me!  I am nervous b/c I've never met the guy, but supposedly he's really nice, but I still hate interviews!   :lol;     I am supposed to meet him at 9:30 this morning.  I really need to get out of my current job - it is a very hostile work environment.  So, wish me luck!

Good luck Sara,

The change may do you good. I hope your interview goes smooth and he offers a good wage. The stress from where you are now probably contributes to your neck problem. Stress does awful things to the body.

RALLY TIME!!  GO SARA GO !!    GO SARA GO!!    Good Luck today.

Good luck Sara, tell him how you ran a Christmas Gift Exchange for a very popular Internet website.  ;) I'll even give you a recommendation just have him call me. ;)

Best of luck, Sara, I'll be thinking of you.  I don't like interviews, either, but I guess you do what you have to do.  Let us know how it goes!

Thanks, guys!   :)  I made it through alive, LOL.  I got the job, will be getting $1.00/hr MORE than my current job, with a possible increase in 90 days.  It was a little awkward of course, he talked more to my aunt than he did to me (she's the one who set this all up) which is fine.  I have to give my notice at work tomorrow, so that's also something I'm VERY nervous about (long story, but not a good work environment yet I can't ever make myself leave).

Thanks again for the well wishes and thoughts.

Very happy to hear your good news.  Now you just hold your head up high and let those others know that you are 'outa there!'.  You don't owe them anything.  You did your work and now it is time for you to move on.  Remember you have an entire community here backing you!

I told my boss.  She didn't seem that affected.  Oh well.   :lol;

As for benefits, there are none.  If they offered health insurance, that would interfere with the ins. we get through Joe's work.  Their rules say if I work somewhere that has ins. and I still choose to get it through Joe, I have to pay a surcharge of $175.00 per month!  That is in addition to the regular monthly premiums.  I do wish there was some sort of 401k set up, but I will have to do something on my own.  I have a small IRA fund from this present job that I may just roll over into a new IRA I can set up at my bank.  I really don't know a lot about this kind of stuff, but my sister does, so I'm sure she'll help me with that.

I still think it will all be better for you in the long run (the new job that is)  It sounds like your old job was getting a little too stressful for you and no one needs more stress in their lives than they already have right? right! ;)   Congrats again girlfriend  :clap;

Congratulations, Sara.  I think that's great.  I've worked for the same company for 25 years, I sure never expected to be here that long.  But, it's a good job and a good company and I've been very lucky.  I hope this new job has everything you're looking for, and they'll appreciate you more than your old job!
