I am obviously just an attention seeker.

Hospital reckons that it is not heart related but, more likely, something in the upper gut. I have an appointment in a fortnight with the gut doctor. I bumped into two of my senior dialysis nurses while I was waiting (3 hours) in Casuality, so they will be taking an active interest in my woes when I go for early D on Monday.

Sorry for alarming you, and alarming myself, but I'm always in trouble for not seeking medical help early enough. So if Jesus decides to take me for a sunbeam over the next couple of days, he won't be able to lecture me about procrastination.

Sincere thanks for your caring comments. They mean a lot.

I am glad you went in. You are smart to get checked. I still can't help but be concerned about the blood transfusions. You had me worried that maybe you have a clot or bleed. My sister had abdominal bleeding before and it was not detected until they did a doppler ultrasound, and she had a lot trapped in her abdomen. I don't mean to alarm you, but hope you'll continue to be vigilant. Glad you're home and feeling better. Sending you lots of {{{HUGS!}}}  :cuddle;

If there's anything I have learned to do over the CKD journey it is that it is WAY better to get checked earlier than later - even if you feel like an idiot -I'd rather ask the question and be safe rather than sorry - rather than wait, worry, generate stress and BP potentially over nothing, or over something that should have been got to earlier anyway. At the very least if you report a symptom or concern that at first seems to be nothing it may manifest down the track and be a clue to the medicos about what's been going on. So I am all in favour of getting checked earlier.

Best of luck Galvo.. I am sure you are in good hands and will be fine. Jesus won't be having anything to do with you - there's still many more magpie wins for you to enjoy (god damnit!)

Well thank goodness for that because we need to you play the "word association" and "write a story three words at a time" games...
