Well everyone,  RichardMEL is gorgeous.  He is such a nice guy and SINGLE girls.....

We are going to meet again soon and I know I am going to have my wrists slapped but no photos this time.  As some of you know, I am just out of hospital and I don't want my first posted pic to be of me looking on the pale and shabby side. I know....very vain....but the gorgeous RichardMEL understood.

I have to say, I didn't quite know how to take it when he looked straight through me.  He said I looked nothing like my photo on my work website....he said my skin was darker than he was expecting.  Hey, I am a typical Aussie - blonde, tan, blue eyes.  The pic he saw of me was probably taken in the dead of winter when the tan had faded. Anyhow, I had to do the uncomfortable introduction....

So RichardMEL seems very contented with his lot and very accepting of his situation.  Very cool.  It seemed to bother him a tad that I smiled so much but when you get to my age, you look younger when you smile and much older when you frown so trust me, I smile a lot.  Didn't want everyone thinking he was out for a drink with his mother. LOL.

Anyhow, pictures next time, I promise.

Sorry it's taken me a while but here I am with my half of the story :)

Yes, Lucinda is as lovely in person as she is in cyberspace... even if I was a bit surprised by how tanned she was because she kept complaining she was so pale! :)

We had a lovely dinner and lots of talking and it was lovely to spend time getting to know her better.

Sorry no pictures... I honestly didn't take my camera, and we decided a phone cam wasn't acceptable..

next time!

Which particular "neck of the woods" are you pair ??
I'm between Bris & the Goldie, so if anyone's up here any time.....    ;D
I've managed one 'meet-up' with a fellow Ozzie dialyser, so far....
I haven't been on here too much recently, mainly due to my on-going "adventures in dialysis".
My new fistula (right fore-arm) is scheduled for Jan 8th, so I'm into hospital on Sunday to get a
dialysis session in the day before the op.
Fingers x'd for me everyone !!!  :2thumbsup;

I think that's great, Lucinda and RichardMEL.  It would be so fun to meet the people from IHD.  I've always wanted to go to Australia, now I have another reason to go there, to meet all of you!

Best of luck to you, Bear, we'll be thinking of you!

Hey Charee and Amanda,

I am in Sydney also, so let me know when you are here Charee and we should all meet up.  I am going on my belated honeymoon next week to the Maldives and then I will probably be starting when I get home but I am doing my training at the dialysis clinic in Darling Point.
