Doc is removing her left kidney.

The right one has 2 veins and the left 1. (she likes the surgeon - that's good)

Had to see the cardiologist yesterday. They forgot to tell me that his report in our file was outdated.  :stressed;

closer people so much closer.  :bandance; :cheer:

Bit of bad news with the good -  I have to go in  for a hernia repair operation the 4 April. He wants to have it done before the transplant. I am not looking forward to that. I think I hate hospitals more than dialysis. (maybe not)

Oh and I had a big bunch of flowers delivered to my donor thanking her for all that she has done so far.... she was all teared up. (can't remember who gave me the idea, but thanks, it worked)  :flower;

Doctors assume that we know everything that we are supposed to know without bothering to, duh, tell us!

Sooooo aggravating, but things are coming along.  :grouphug;

It would be great if the transplant team could give a check list to the donor and recipient instead of making them jump through hoops unexpectedly. It makes me crazy that it seem hit and miss - doesn't give you much confidence in their ability to pull it off!

I am just over the moon for you, Des. Things are finally coming together. There seems to always be some delay or complication, but I have no doubt you will get there soon. I cannot wait to hear the news! Get that support person ready to type away - once you go into the theatre, your support person will be bombarded with questions and comments! Thinking of you, hun!

Thanks ! I would really like to at least have some time line but the coordinator made it very clear: " Des, you can't plan this one! Just wait!."

So here I am waiting. :waiting; :stressed; :pray;
