Does anyone have experience with Impairment Related Work Expenses?  I'd like to know can I count the expense of a helper for my husband to help with home dialysis and, if so, can this helper be anyone who is willing or do they need to come from an official service of some sort?

When you ask if thehome helper services can count, do you mean in your tax return? If so, yes in the US, it is deductible if you have anough deductions over $7000 to use a schedule A.

No.  I mean can it be counted as an Impairment Related Work Expense and be deducted from my husbands income to qualify for disability?
